About us
Plain-language guides to blood test reports for people in India.
Who we are
Lab Report Saathi is an independent health blog for people in India. We explain common blood and urine tests, reference ranges and lab reports. We do not diagnose, prescribe, run a clinic or lab, or sell medicines, tests or supplements. Start with our latest article, How to read a blood test report.
Who writes here
Articles are researched and written by the Lab Report Saathi editorial team. We write from published clinical guidelines and peer-reviewed research, and we link every source so you can check it yourself. We do not present our articles as a doctor's opinion.
We welcome articles from registered doctors and other healthcare professionals. If you would like to contribute, see our editorial policy below.
How we write
- Evidence first. We start from national and international guidelines (such as ICMR, WHO and specialist societies) and peer-reviewed studies, and cite them at the end of every article.
- Written for India. We use Indian units, foods, test names and health services, and explain the terms you will see on your reports.
- Plain language. We explain medical words the first time we use them and keep sentences short.
- Clear about limits. Where evidence is weak or experts disagree, we say so.
- Dated. Each page shows when it was last updated. We review pages when guidelines change.
Editorial policy
- We do not give personal medical advice, and we never give dose, timing or medicine-combination instructions. Decisions about medicines belong with your doctor.
- We do not make cure claims or promise results.
- We do not accept payment for articles, links or rankings, and we carry no advertising.
- We do not name, promote or rank individual doctors, hospitals or labs.
- If you spot a mistake, please tell us through the corrections form. We correct errors promptly and update the date on the page.
We cannot give personal medical advice. In an emergency, call 112.
